Its most recent issue, the Autumn 2025 Landmark, contains an in-depth article about BioP. The article explains the technology behind our PiperPlus potato and showcases all the advantages of its late blight and potato virus resistance for potato growers.

Sasha Eremina, Entrepreneur in Residence at The Sainsbury Laboratory supporting BioP, said “Agribiotech products take long to develop, which makes it even more rewarding to attend field trials of products developed in academic laboratories. Disease-resistant varieties often rely on natural occurrence of infection in the field, as controlled applications of pathogens are too risky. As late blight season started, non-resistant crops showed signs of infection while we were happy to see our disease-resistant varieties withstanding this pressure.”
